Culture

At Eureka! we feel we have developed a culture that can't be found any place else in Silicon Valley. This is no accident. Our goals from the beginning have been

&midot; to build a team of people who enjoy working together to solve complex problems,

&midot; providing the best possible solutions for our clients within their time and budget constraints, and

&midot; providing an active positive influence within our community through educational and other programs.

The Team & Fun

"Build a team of people who enjoy working together to solve complex problems."

We understand that the business environment, especially in Silicon Valley, is seriously competitive. Which is why a team effort is critical to our success.

The right environment can make the difference between an exhausting job and a challenging career. Teamwork and peer support are major factors in creating this environment. Our diverse team derives pride and a real satisfaction in solving problems - from minor questions to complex issues impacting a client's ability to do business.

The workplace we've created incorporates freedom, flexibility, and fun. We encourage passion and creativity and expect dedication and commitment to our clients. However, we also understand there is more to life than a career and we encourage and respect a well-balanced life.

The entire team shares in the success as Eureka! grows. Individual growth is critical to company growth. To reinforce this we have designed a compensation plan which is competitive and includes profit sharing and real equity ownership. Eureka! is entirely employee owned and equity grows in proportion to service with the company.

Providing the Best Possible Solutions

"Committed to providing the best possible solutions within the client's time and budget constraints."

Eureka's experienced team focuses on first understanding client needs, then meeting those needs in the most effective manner.

Truly understanding our clients goals is the first step toward providing a solution. We understand that good communication skills are key to achieving this. We probe to insure we are solving problems - not providing a temporary band-aid to mask symptoms. We make an extra effort to understand key client goals so we can make intelligent tradeoffs when designing solutions. We then review all decisions with the client so there are no surprises.

We encourage innovative and resourceful ideas no matter what tool or technology is chosen to implement a solution. We understand there are appropriate uses for both cutting edge and well established technologies. Our strength is in selecting the best tools, systems, and infrastructure to meet or exceed client expectations.

Contributing to Our Community

"Providing an active positive influence in our community through educational and other programs."

We have a strong belief in community service. Contributing to our community sends a signal to everyone around us that we understand how we got where we are today and where we might be if the right opportunities hadn't been available. As a company and as individuals, we believe in contributing time and funding to community service programs.

During the 1997-1998 school year, along with nine other Silicon Valley companies, we participated in the "Career Ways" program with Horner Middle School in Fremont, CA. We had the opportunity to speak to a group of 60 eighth grade students demonstrating how what we learned in eighth grade helps in our job today. On a site visit with 20 of the students we were able to show them how work we have completed might possibly be used by them. Six of the students were able to see how our team functions through job shadowing sessions with three members of our staff. At the end of the school year, the eighth graders put on a job fair for the fifth and sixth graders using their experience with us to describe what it is like to work in Silicon Valley.

Individual employees have also chosen to participate within their community by supporting organizations such as:

&midot; Community Impact - organizes short-term, limited commitment projects for busy professionals.

&midot; SPEAK-UP! - a leadership program for girls providing the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge instrumental to personal and professional success.

&midot; Drug Action -- an outdoor ropes course designed to foster teamwork and reinforce goal setting for at risk teenagers.

We will be glad to share our experiences gained by working with these organizations. For more info contact community@EurekaCS.com
